howdy y'all!

howdy y'all!

hey y'all!

If you didn't know already, my name is Lauren! The creator & blonde behind Blonde & A Bay Photography!

Blonde & A Bay was built with grit, grace, and a whole lot of my heart horse Morgan!

Life’s got a way of taking the long way around! In 2020, my wild dream of owning a horse turned real. This is when I officially became the owner of Morgan, my Bay Morgan Mare. I know so original a Morgan name Morgan, but it just fits her perfectly and they say it's actually bad luck to rename your horse! Morgan also isn't just my first horse, she is also a rescue horse that my family took in to help save her from a world of neglect and abuse. But, she is more then a rescue - she's a mare with a big personality that will instantly pull you in and make you laugh, my heart horse, and one of the best things that has happened to me.

Now here's the crazy part - I didn't grow up in this industry, but ever since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to own horses. Growing up, I moved around a lot as the daughter of a military service member. I have lived in 6 different states and 1 different country. So needless to say, traveling is second nature to me and I'm not afraid to hop on a plane or hit the road to capture your story that feels authentic to your lifestyle.

Although I didn't grow up with Morgan or even horses, my passion for the Western Lifestyle didn't start there, it just grew deeper. Going to rodeos, 90's country music concerts, and trail riding has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. Still to this date, I feel most at home in the saddle on the back of a horse. It has brought me so many new experiences from learning to sort cattle to learning how to breakaway rope. To this day, I am always developing and learning new things about this lifestyle.

So if you’re dreaming up a session that feels authentic to you, whether that’s in a rodeo arena, your pasture at sunset, or your ranch halfway across the country, just say the word!
